THE VISION
​
This was simple. To write and live a comfortable lifestyle financially while raising children. To be uncensored and raw and introduce my creative intelligence through the many forms of writing. The vision was a company that could feed family and friends for generations. To publish without fear of exclusion, without prejudice, and most of all without judgment. The founder envisioned being a vessel for creatives to learn and execute complete creative control over their most prized works of art. The thought of owning something of importance and value to the black community, not just family and friends, became a reality. The vision was mind-blowing... A black-owned publishing company founded by a disabled Army veteran.
THE FOUNDATION

SistaLadifriend's foundation was built on unity, selfless service, commitment, and, most of all, faith. The pillars we go by remind us never to forget what we had to go through as young black authors who couldn't get published by traditional publishing houses. The pillars of SLF's foundation remind our agents, representatives, and members that the artists seeking our help are trusting us with something precious: their creativity and future. SLF guarantees courtesy, professionalism, and compassion from our employees to our sponsors, artists, and affiliations. SLF wasn't formed to be another business making money off of the talents of others. SLF was formed to ensure a safe space for writers/artists to curate their work with peace of mind, no rush, and support. It was formed with the notion that we could provide opportunities for others. As we approach the future, SistaLadiFriend is committed to broadening what we can do to help the black community of writers in literature and film.
As women, we carry so many hats and loads that aren't our own. Women everywhere, no matter the position, always put themselves last; it's been forced in our DNA.
Here at SistaLadiFriend, we will continue to assist in our community, educate, curate, and guide those in our homes and around us.

However, we will not be last; we are the first. We are not the most disrespected; we are too valuable to any system. We are the most resourceful creatures on earth. We birth every living thing, and SistaLadiFriend will breathe life, success, and knowledge into every writer who comes in contact with SistaLadiFriend.

As SISTAS to those not of our blood, we vow to put forth as much effort as if we came from the same womb. We will always be LADIES to those who look up to us in our families, households, and careers. We will remain FRIENDS with those we build business ships in the communities we frequent, thrive, and live in.
